Position Description

Cardiac Cath Lab RN – High-Acuity, Team-Oriented Unit

Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia (VA or Compact License Required)

Schedule: 4x10 Hour Shifts | Day Shift | Alternating M–F | Every Other Weekend | No On-Call Facility Type: High-volume, newly renovated Cath Lab with 3 active labs

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join a dynamic, high-acuity team. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment performing 12–18 cases daily, including STEMI interventions. First-time travelers are welcome!

Responsibilities

  • Circulate and monitor cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Support a range of interventions: TAVRs, Watchman, Cardiomems, Carotids, Impella, CTO, TEVARS/EVARS, STEMI
  • Float within scope to ED and medical assignments as needed
  • Document using EPIC and XPER systems
  • Utilize Medrad and manifold for injections

Requirements

  • Active VA or Compact RN License
  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year of cardiac or critical care experience (Cath Lab or IR preferred)
  • Strong clinical judgment and adaptability
  • Team-oriented mindset with a passion for high-quality care

Additional Details

  • Shift: 07:00–17:30 (alternating Mon–Fri)
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
  • Scrubs provided
  • Locals accepted
